Carlos Kusnir is a painter who has lived in Buenos Aires, Bratislava, Prague, Paris and Marseille. He has been active since the early 80s. His work plays with figuration, trompe-l'œil and abstract painting. He shows what could be refered to as street scenes where the social intervenes like a whisper coming from a hidden window, or as if carried by the evening heat of southern cities.
"At exhibitions, I work on my paintings as if they were scores.
I dream and tell myself that each painting is a unique instrument that could be part of a bigger orchestration.
And through an installation, I could be able to produce noises, silences, ruptures and dialogues, different each time.
Reshuffle the cards."
